| Opportunity Description | The Centre for the Governance of AI (GovAI) offers Seasonal Fellowships that last for three months. Are designed to help people start or advance their careers in AI governance and policy. The Centre for the Governance of AI (GovAI) Winter Fellowship 2027 has two tracks: a Research Track and an Applied Track. Seasonal Fellows on the Research Track work with the Centre for the Governance of AI (GovAI) team to do their research on a topic they choose, and they get help from experts in the field. Each fellow is paired with a supervisor from the Centre for the Governance of AI (GovAI) team or network. They spend the two weeks of the Centre for the Governance of AI (GovAI) Winter Fellowship 2027 learning about the AI governance landscape and then they decide on a research proposal with help from their supervisors. Their research can result in a report, a paper, a journal article, an op-ed or a blog post that is meant for an audience that is interested in AI governance. The Research Managers and the Centre for the Governance of AI (GovAI) team will give them support to figure out what project and output would be most valuable for the fellow to work on. Summary:
